city, if i got it right. not as good a picture as we had a minute or so ago. you can see there is a funnel cloud. actually, it is not a funnel cloud. it is on the ground. this, i believe, is northeast of oklahoma city right now by a few miles. they've got tornado warnings out there. inre's some very big storms that area. we have switched over to the radar in oklahoma city. we can see those storms welling up and moving across oklahoma city. right near the symbol, that is the cell that is producing a big storm, and that is the area that the tornado warning is in effect for. that is there and that is going to be the big news weather-wise tonight as far as national weather is concerned. our own weather, we do not have any rain here. maybe a few sprinkles near annapolis, but the bigger storms or the more substantial rain is selfless. our forecast has some wet weather in it, and that is coming up in a few minutes. >> it is not just temperatures that will be going up. so our gas prices. the average price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 7 cents, and experts believe prices will continue t

allegations of misconduct in the baltimore police conduct. today a city police officer has been charged with assault on a citizen. more on the charges against sergeant mitchell. >> according to the charges it happened in west baltimore steps from the western district police station. the report says officer robert mitchell was in uniform and on duty when he assaulted a civilian and deputy commissioner jerry rodriguez referenced other recent cases of alleged officer misconduct as he spoke about it. >> we will root out corruption. we owe it to the hard-working men and women who serve stay and who have served in years past to work not to jeopardize the trust of the public. >> tie jan williams lived on the same street where the alleged attack took place. a family member told us they were aware of the charges but mitchell is charged with second-degree assault and misconduct. they say he was suspended and placed on administrative leave when the charges game about. >> these came about because of our close relationship with the states attorneys office and we try to do exactly what the commission

power lines and stripped trees outside of oklahoma city. to 18 wheelers pushed onto their sides. one left dangling along the railing of an overpass. just like tens of millions across the midwest to continue to be on edge, with forecasters warning that severe conditions could continue for the next few days. jay gray, wbal-tv 11 news. >> this is a look at that storm system he was talking about. at the height of its intensity, this was caught on our 11 insta weather plus radar. sean collins is here with a look at all of this. >> really active out there. we had texas last week and oklahoma yesterday and today. the same area tomorrow is a prime target. wendy six reports of tornadoes. oklahoma through illinois. the latest radar satellite combination right now. i'd of the plains states in the middle of the map, you see that explosive storm development. and tornadoes potential is still high in iowa now. it has shifted a little bit out of oklahoma and kansas toward iowa. things should settle down tonight and then recharge tomorrow. much in the same area. not very much in the baltimore area. s

watches are up in at least six states tonight. in oklahoma city, an ominous wall cloud appeared late this afternoon as all eyes turned to the threatening skies amid a flurry of warnings. already there had been a number of tornadoes that have touched down in oklahoma, including this one we saw a bit earlier in edmond. this has been a topsy-turvy weekend for a lot of paeople in the country's midsection and this weather is on the move. tonight the national weather service says 148 million people are at risk for severe weather from now into tuesday. that's half the u.s. population. we watched as this all unfolded in oklahoma just moments ago. take a listen. >> go left! >> big-gun tornado coming down! >> look at that. folks, that's violent. that's violent. >> violent tornado! off to the right. big-time debris cloud. there is large structural debris. >> it is heading for -- >> right in front of us! dobbs road. >> it's very dangerous! >> baseball-sized hail. that is approaching dobbs road. one mile south of waterloo road. you folks in rural areas up there, this is a life threatening, damagi

forecast today. we're basically dry over the city. 64 is the temperature at pimlico. rain in the forecast today. maybe i should say a sprinkle or shower not rain. other temperatures at edge wooveed and 65, cockeysville is up to 63 and up west columbia 64. downtown it's almost 70 degrees. the broader picture of what's going on, more shower activity. here's baltimore. the rains are south and the strongest are off norfolk right now and the virginia beaches. but a lot of clouds around the area. there's a front stalled in virginia around western maryland right now. that's boundary. we can also see high pressure over new england pulling moisture off the atlantic ocean. so the combination of those things giving us fits as far as obscuring the sun. in the plains states that's where all the big storms are going to occur today. i think that will be the newsmaker weather-wise later today. here, not bad. clouds kind of holding temperatures down a little bit. we'll see mostly cloudy skies. maybe a spotty shower. >> the girls pushed me to put some element of sun in. so but also these spotty li
